Description:
Our client, a leading online brokerage company specializing in options trading systems, is looking for experienced Java Developers to work out of their Chicago office for a 3-6 month project. As a Java Developer, you will interpret business requirements and programming specifications to write software programs that solve business needs. You will confer with system analysts, managers, technical personnel, and clients to resolve problems of intent, inaccuracy or feasibility, output requirements, input data acquisition, coding use and modifications, and inclusion of internal checks and controls. In addition, you will work within established procedures to develop, test, implement, and maintain application software. Also, you will recommend improvements to established processes. This role does not require industry knowledge, however, strong communication skills and experience working with business users and clients is a must.

Requirements:
* 3+ years of experience with Core Java development working with release 1.4, 1.5, or 1.6.
* Experience doing full life-cycle ( SDLC ) Web enabled Core Java development in a large complex Agile environment.
* Experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design ( OOA / OOD ).
* Experience with Spring, Struts, WebSphere, Java Persistence API ( JPA ) or experience writing API's in Hibernate, and Tomcat is required.
* Experience with Scala is strongly preferred.
* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field.
