Job# 1034 JMS Architect / Principal JMS Developer Contract Acton, MA
Description:
Our client, a growing company delivering the next-generation communications infrastructure is looking for a JMS Architect / Principal JMS Developer to work out of their Acton, MA for a 1-3 month contract starting in September 2010. The JMS Architect / Principal JMS Developer is responsible for working with Senior Engineers to architect and develop a fully compliant JMS API into our client's message fabric. As a JMS Architect / Principal JMS Developer you will provide industry perspective to optimize our client's design, and develop ideally in an irritative agile method. You will be responsible for a fully compliant implementation of JMS 1.1, and the development of JMS extensions. Also, you will provide support logging for tracing, performance and diagnostic recording capabilities conforming to existing infrastructure as needed. In addition, you will develop a sample application for: QA functional/performance test and validation of the API; Customer sample applications to demonstrate API usage; and Work with test automation engineers to support the development of automated test applications. Additionally, you will support the development of documentation via Javadoc, and develop a test and qualification plan. The ideal candidate must be able to quickly understand our client's messaging architecture, so that the JMS design will be completely JMS 1.1 compliant and optimized for low latency performance.
Requirements:
* 2+ years of experience as a JMS Architect.
* Expert on Message orientated Middleware.        
* Experienced developer of Client APIs.
* Detailed understanding and experience with JAVA components such as JNDI, J2EE, service factory.
* Understanding of messaging back ends and architectures to support API.
* In-depth understanding of publish subscribe and point to point queuing models.
* Extensive knowledge of JMS durable subscriber and Persistence.
