Description:
Our client, a leading global service provider in the Capital Markets technology sector is looking for full-time Business Analysts to work in Toronto, Canada. As a Business Analyst, you will be working at one of our client's Tier One Investment Banking client's site. You will be responsible for dictating requirements to Front Office Source Systems regarding what data our client wants sent to them. The Business Analyst will be involved in setting up a Risk Data Facility, which will sit on the bank side, take data from Front Office, transform it into a format and schema suitable for delivery into a Risk Platform, take results back and then facilitate reporting. In addition, you will be involved in a majority of Risk processing within the platform, which will be an ASP solution hosted in the UK. You must be either based out of the Toronto, Canada local area, be willing to relocate there, or be willing to travel 100% of the time. Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst capacity in the trading industry. * Must have worked in a BA capacity in atleast one of these areas: trading credit risk measurement; trade and market data feeds and databases in terms of feed specifications, mapping and transformation rules; and/or GUI design specifications. * Ability to construct and execute complex SQL queries to extract information. * Software testing experience specifically in the planning and execution of User Acceptance Tests. * Knowledge of systems development lifecycle, data feeds, database, user interface design is essential. Technology hardware and software terminology and comfort in dealing with staff from the technology team is essential in order to be able to work with them on functional design specifications and related deliverables. * Bachelors Degree in a technical or quantitative field (i.e. Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Physics, Mathematics or Statistics). CFA and/or FRM designations desirable.
