Description:
Our client, a growing telecommunications company is looking for a VP of Mobile Software to be based out of their Mountain View, CA or Chicago, IL office. The VP of Mobile Software will lead our client's mobile development team, continuing to bring to bear innovative mobile agent technology across a variety of mobile platforms and market targets. The VP of Mobile Software will report directly to the CEO, and will take ownership of the mobile engineering team in both the Mountain View and Chicago offices. The individual in this role will own execution within a fast-paced, challenging environment where the customer list includes some of the biggest names in the mobile industry.
Our client is looking for a dynamic, creative, results-driven executive with a get-it-done attitude, and experience with both guiding innovative new development, as well as scaling a successful integration and support model across their growing roster of customers and partners worldwide. The successful candidate will be comfortable with both management and technical leadership roles, and will know when to use skills in each domain to obtain a successful outcome. Responsibilities:
* Build, manage, and mentor a team of mobile software developers to deliver both embedded and mobile application-level products.
* Work with our client's server platform and web applications groups to deliver integrated, end-to-end consumer and business solutions.
* Work with the CEO and CTO to establish goals and milestones for your team.
* Create and track progress against a lightweight, agile project plan.
* Interact and collaborate with customers and partners.
* As a senior member of the executive team, participate in strategic planning activities.

Requirements:
* 10+ years of professional software development experience with at least 3 years in an executive role. Must have recent development experience within the past 4 years.
* Demonstrated expertise with modern mobile software development disciplines and processes, across multiple platforms (Embedded C development is strongly preferred).
* Proven track record of successful product delivery.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Bachelor’s Degree in a software engineering discipline.
* Must be open to travel as required.
