Description:
Our client, a leading trading firm in Chicago, is looking for a Lead Java Developer. The Lead Java Developer will be responsible for full life-cycle development, including strong database design through to developing the GUI interface. The Lead Java Developer will be expected to do strong JDBC development, including complex table structure design and developing the processes necessary to pull data through the system. In addition, Hibernate, Struts, and Spring are key skills to this role. The ideal candidate must be very experienced in Object Oriented development in a large distributed Unix / Linux environment. Financial services experience is a strong plus.

Requirements:
* 5+ years of Java development experience in an OO, distributed environment.
* 5+ years of experience with SQL and Relational databases (e.g. DB2, Oracle).
* 3+ years with Linux / Unix.
* Experience with Hibernate, Struts, Spring, and JDBC.
* 3+ years of experience developing web applications utilizing WebLogic Application Server.
* Experience with ClearCase.
* Knowledge of open source libraries, such as Log4j, JUnit, Ant and Apache Commons is a plus.
* BS degree in Computer Science or a related field.
